An elderly woman was taken to hospital after a crash in Ruislip involving a car and a lorry on Tuesday morning (March 7).

Emergency services were called to Victoria Road at the junction with the Aldi supermarket at around 10.18am, near South Ruislip station.

The woman, in her early 80s, is believed to have suffered non life-threatening injuries.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “The crash happened at 10.18am in Victoria Road.

“One woman in her early 80s was taken to a central London hospital.

“Her injuries are not life-threatening.”

London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade also attended the crash.

A picture from the scene shows a police cordon in place and the damage to the front end of the car which was badly damaged.
