A car fire on the A312 The Parkway in Hayes caused major traffic disruption on Monday (September 26) morning.
The London Fire Brigade said it was called to reports of a car on fire at the Hayes Bypass towards Southall at 6.38am.
It sent one crew from Southall fire station, and said the fire was dealt with by 6.52am.
However, the aftermath of the blaze, close to Bilton Way, near Minet Country Park, was reportedly causing still causing traffic disruption at 8.30am.
Transport for London (TfL) advised motorists of a possible carriageway restriction in place following the fire.
Its traffic cameras appeared to show traffic moving at a crawl along the A312.
Traffic was reported to be moving slowly on the road northbound between the A437 North Hyde Road/Hayes Road (Bulls Bridge roundabout) and the A4020 Uxbridge Road (Ossie Garvin roundabout).
Reports said traffic flow had returned to normal at around 8.45am.
