Uxbridge and West Drayton residents who have been left without any internet or telephone access can expect the outage to last ALL WEEKEND.

Despairing households and business owners should not expect services to come back until at least Monday as engineers brace themselves for a weekend of repair work, according to Sky.

It comes after Network Rail admits it cut a cable used by internet service providers on Wednesday (October 19).

A spokesperson told getwestlondon: "Sky users should be able to see online that there is an issue in the area and works will continue throughout the weekend.

"Due to the safety risks and the complexity involved, repair work will carry on over the weekend.

"We're sorry for the continued inconvenience caused by this outage."

BT told getwestlondon there is "no timescale" for when the complicated repairs will finish and engineers are on the site "24/7".
