After years of waiting, Uxbridge shoppers might be delighted to hear that the Primark store in High Street is finally opening on Saturday (March 25).
The highly-anticipated discount fashion shop is opening its doors for the first time on Saturday morning in its brand new store next to KFC.
Primark had originally planned to open the store in time for Christmas 2016 but in October last year it was announced this would be delayed.
The store has been in the works since 2014 but was not officially announced until September 2015.
It's arrival has been praised by shoppers and councillors alike.
You can send your pictures and videos of your visit to the store to @ambhack on Twitter or email alexander.ballinger@trinitymirror.com.

Time to wrap up the blog

We hope you’ve enjoyed reading and enjoyed shopping if you’ve visited the shop today!
Quiet shot of the tills
Primark have also sent over this picture from the shop before it opened.
We’re likely to never see the tills this quiet again.
A bit of positive feedback about the opening
Our readers seem pleased with today’s opening and have given some positive feedback about the event.
'Add to the vibrancy of our town centre'
The Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor John Hensley, said: “The arrival of Primark in Uxbridge is a welcome development to the centre of Uxbridge – in one of our principle shopping centres. The new store will encourage local people to come to Uxbridge, adding to the vibrancy of our town centre, as well as providing additional employment. It is a pleasure to be invited to the opening of this store”.
Photo of the ribbon cutting
Primark have sent over this photo of the ribbon cutting ceremony this morning.
Queues down the street
This photo was taken by getwestlondon reader Becky Hill before the doors opened this morning.
Shoppers queued a long way down High Street to get into the store as soon as it opened.
VIDEO: Take a look inside
This short video gives you a glimpse inside Uxbridge’s new (and busy) Primark store in the town centre.
Opened by the Mayor
The store was officially opened by The Worshipful the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor John Hensley. Today’s opening brings the number of Primark stores in the UK to 177 and 333 for the company.
Looking quiet at the front of the store
It was looking very quiet at the front of the store just after it opened at 10am, although it was a very different picture inside.
The store itself was heaving with shoppers and staff alike.
What do you think?

Primark is open!
The store opened at 10am and is already looking busy. Although surprisingly the tills were actually quiet - possibly the only time.
