Hundreds of students had their hard work recognised this week as they graduated from the University of West London (UWL).

Graduation ceremonies took place at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday (July 22 and 23).

Eight high-profiled figures were also acknowledged at the events and were awarded with honorary degrees.

Jack Blumenthal, the son of world-renowned cook Heston Blumenthal OBE, also celebrated graduating with a BSc in culinary arts management. He was accompanied to the ceremony by his TV chef dad who was previously awarded a Doctor of Science in 2014.

UWL vice-chancellor Professor Peter John said: "Graduation is the culmination of years of hard work for our students. Those graduating should be very proud of their achievements as they enter into the next phase of their lives."
