A part closure on the London Underground will affect people travelling on the Metropolitan Line this weekend.

Transport for London has said there will be no service between Wembley Park and Aldgate tube stations on Saturday (January 14) and Sunday (January 15).

During the two days workmen will be carrying out track and drainage replacement works between Baker Street station and Finchley Road station.

Plans are in place for a replacement bus service to operate late night on Sunday only from Wembley Park to Finchley Road and Baker Street.

Earlier this month Lancaster Gate tube station was closed for lift replacement works .

It will remain out of use until late July.
