Person on track and signal failure cause commuter travel chaos on Thursday September 14

A person on the track on the District Line caused chaos for commuters on Thursday (September 14).

There were severe delays on the tube line after a trespasser was on the track in the Hornchurch area.

The incident affected west Londoners commuting during the morning rush hour which caused severe delays between Earl's Court and Ealing Broadway , Richmond and Wimbledon .

Meanwhile on the Victoria Line there were severe delays due to an earlier signal failure at Brixton, affecting the entire line.

The issue has been resolved and Victoria Line continues to operate with minor delays.

Tickets were being accepted on local buses.
