A two-year-old boy has been left fighting for his life after collision with a car in Brent on Friday evening (August 26).

Met police officers were called to Kenton Road, with the junction of Claremont Avenue, to reports of a collision between a red Ford Focus car and two pedestrians.

Medics treated a two-year-old boy and his 59-year-old grandfather at the scene, which was also attended by London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance.

Both were taken to an east London hospital, with the boys condition described as life-threatening and the man's described as non-life threatening.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was taken to a north London police station and has been bailed to a date in October.

Next of kin are aware.
