Eye-witnesses described a scene of "chaos" in Hammersmith on Saturday night (July 18) with a stabbing incident shortly followed by a police car involved in a collision.

Police were called at around 5:45pm after a man stabbed near to the Hammersmith Broadway shopping centre.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital suffering stab injuries.

His injuries are not life-threatening. There has been no arrest at this early stage.

A short time later, a police car en-route to the incident was involved in a collision with a bus on Hammersmith Broadway.

Two officers and the bus driver sustained injuries and all three were taken to hospital by ambulance

Eyewitnesses took to Twitter and described the "horrific" and "chaos" from the scenes.

Nobody involved has sustained life-threatening injuries.
