Two men have been re-bailed following the alleged rape of a man that led to the closure of Acton police station for up to four hours.

Met police said that Acton police station, in High Street, Ealing , was closed on January 31 because a man had entered the building to report a rape allegation.

The allegation, which occurred at around 5am, led to the closure of the front office for between three to four hours.

Three men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of rape.

Officers said that one of the men, a 30-year-old who was arrested on January 31, has been re-bailed to a date in late May.

The force added that a 38-year-old man, arrested on February 6, has also been re-bailed to a date in late May.

A 52-year-old man, arrested on February 2, is due to answer bail on a date in early April.

The man who made the allegation of rape was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
