Two men have been arrested after a pedestrian died following a crash on the A4 in Osterley.
Police and paramedics were called to the A4 Great West Road, near the junction with Syon Lane, on Sunday (May 17) at 9.54pm to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian.
A police spokeswoman said the male pedestrian, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10.21pm. Next of kin are aware but he has yet to be formally identified.
A post-mortem examination will take place on a date to be confirmed.
She added that two men had been arrested in connection with the crash and taken to separate west London police stations for questioning. They were subsequently bailed to a date in June.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said its staff had also attended to two other patients at the scene who had minor injuries, neither of whom required hospital treatment.
The road was closed for several hours following the collision and did not open fully until early on Monday morning (May 18).
