Road closures will be in place in and around Twickenham as the final rugby matches of the season take place this weekend.

Among the areas sealed off include London Road, Whitton Road, Rugby Road, Kneller Road and streets leading off them affecting people in the borough's of Hounslow and Richmond , with no access from around lunchtime (1pm).

The Egerton Road barrier will be staffed to allow access to residents.

These measures will be removed during the matches and put back in place around 10 minutes before the final whistle and re-opened around two hours after the match.

Thousands of fans will descend on Twickenham Stadium on Saturday (May 28) to see Saracens take on Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva premiership rugby final, kick-off at 3pm.

The next day will see England play Wales at 3pm with smaller cup final matches taking place from 10am.

On event days the A316 will remain open as normal and traffic stewards will control the pedestrian crossings.

Temporary toilets will be placed along the main spectator walking routes between the stadium and Twickenham station and police officers will be patrolling the entire route.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) will operate a match day helpline for residents on 07894 814180, between midday and 7pm.

Reports of antisocial behaviour should be made to the police via 101 or 999 in an emergency.
