Commuters in London facing the latest 24-hour Tube strike are being offered a free rickshaw ride through the capital.

Payfriendz, a mobile app, wants to help people dodge the Tube strike, which begins on Wednesday (August 5) and is set to last all day on Thursday (August 6), with services returning to normal on Friday (August 7).

The rickshaw rides will take place throughout zones 1 and 2 including Knightsbridge, Sloane Square and South Kensington, to help get people to major railway stations including King Cross and Waterloo, and out of the city.

People can download the app and scroll to find #SurviveTheStrike in the contact list to receive a free ride.

The app, which was launched in 2014, hopes to come to the rescue of thousands of commuters who need to dart across the city to arrive at work on time and get home without any fuss.

The dispute is over the introduction of the Night Tube service, due to roll out in September.

Union members are planning to walk-out from 9.30pm on Wednesday but Transport for London (TfL) has said it will stop London Underground train services from 6.30pm during the daily rush hour.

The Payfriendz app is easy to download and is available on iOS and Android.

Getwestlondon has also put together a guide of 10 apps to help you during the strikes.
