Turnham Green tube station was reportedly closed after a script containing the word bomb was found outside.
The station in Turnham Green Terrace, Chiswick , was shut on Saturday (February 27) morning, from 7.39am to 8.27am.
Transport for London confirmed the closure was due to an alert over a suspicious package outside the station.
Local website ChiswickW4 quoted a witness saying the alarm had been raised because the bag contained a student's script which featured the word 'bomb'
The area was reportedly sealed off as bomb disposal experts were called to the scene.
British Transport Police said it was not able to confirm details of the incident.
