A group of travellers reported to have moved onto a green space in Hounslow have been removed from the site.

Residents in the area were among those who informed the council of the latest encampment on Bedfont Green on Thursday (August 10) morning.

This was an image posted by Bedfont councillor Sam Christie on Twitter.

Around a dozen caravans and mini vans can be seen on the grounds.

Hounslow Council said its parks team were in the process of getting the travellers to move off the site, at around 3pm ton Thursday August 10.

The council tweeted: "Our parks team have began the process to move the travellers off the site."

On Wednesday (August 9) travellers had mounted Ealing Common where police and the council worked together to evict them.
