Stars turned up with their beloved pets for the annual Tinsel and Tails Christmas fundraiser for Mayhew Animal Home .
The annual charity extravaganza, proudly sponsored by Pets Pyjamas and Barkers For Dogs, saw a host of celebrity supporters take to the red carpet to raise vital funds to help continue Mayhew’s work in the UK and overseas.
This year’s star line-up included Pete Wicks, Stephanie Pratt, Olivia Buckland, Alex Bowen, Ali Bastian, Pandora Christie, Hannah Spearritt, Beatie Edney, Arielle Free, Harry Reid and Marc Abraham.
Nearly 300 people attended the fundraiser in Holborn on December 5, which raised nearly £30,000 on the night as guests enjoyed a three-course dinner.
They were later treated to entertainment provided by BBC’s Pitch Battle contestants, The Noteables, an award winning pop chamber choir directed by comedian, Vikki Stone.
A video that showcased the work of Mayhew and the animals and people we help was shown on the night.
It featured the ongoing work the charity does in the community providing support to vulnerable pet owners and homeless animals, to help prevent more animals ending up in the shelter environment.
It also provided an insight into the animal charity’s vital work overseas.
Mayhew’s chief executive, Caroline Yates, said: “It was a fantastic night and we raised an incredible amount. Tinsel and Tails is always a fantastic event, bringing together our dogs, guests, supporters and celebrity friends for one night only.
“The fundraiser was a great opportunity to highlight Mayhew’s range of proactive community outreach work including our onsite vet clinic, addressing animal welfare cases, working with the homeless and our ground-breaking work in Afghanistan.”
