Chelsea footballer Tiemoue Bakayoko crashed his car after leaving the club's training ground on Thursday (September 21).

The incident, in Blundel Lane, Oxshott, took place around 3.30pm.

The Mirror reported the Chelsea star suffered "minor" injuries in the crash, but he is expected to travel to Stoke for the team's weekend fixture.

Suggestions that Bakayoko was involved in a head-on collision were dismissed by the Blues.

The road was closed by Surrey Police for around two hours while they dealt with the incident.

Bakayoko has made six appearances since joining Premier League champions Chelsea. He scored his first goal for the club in the 6-0 win over Qarabag earlier this month.
