Three men have been charged with multiple offences after police were called to a stabbing in Uxbridge.

Police were taking part in an operation in Cowley on Saturday morning (June 20) when they were called to the incident in which a man was stabbed.

Three men, all from Cowley, have since been charged with kidnap, false imprisonment and blackmail.

Marvin Vassell, 40, Darren Vassell, 35, both of St Luke Close, and Derek Johnston, 40, of St Christopher Road, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (June 22).

All three cases were sent to Southwark Crown Court for a hearing on Monday (July 6).

A man in his 30s was treated for multiple stab injuries by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service before being taken to a west London hospital in a serious condition.

Police were seen in St Peter's Road on Saturday and locals reported hearing a gun shot.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police kidnap unit and firearms command unit were at an address in Cowley, during which an officer unintentionally fired a gun.

No one was injured as a result of this and, as a matter of routine, the Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.
