A teenager was shot in North Kensington on Wednesday (April 20), barely 24 hours after there had been two separate stabbings in the same area.
Police were called to Colville Gardens in Notting Hill at 10.40pm to reports of gun shots fired and found the injured 17-year-old male victim. His injuries are not life threatening.
Police in Kensington and Chelsea are working closely with the local community in response to the incident and have promised an additional police presence in the area.
Officers from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command, which tackle gang crime, are investigating. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
The incident comes shortly after two separate stabbing in the area, both of which are also being investigated by Trident.
The first happened at St Helens Gardens on April 19 shortly before midnight , leaving the victim in a serious but stable condition.
Then in Harrow Road in the early hours of April 20 a driver of a car was found with stab wounds after the car he was driving crashed into a lamppost .
