A teenage motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash in Hounslow .
Police said the 19-year-old was taken to a south London hospital with serious injuries following the collision in Twickenham Road, Isleworth , on Thursday (February 25) afternoon.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, near the junction with Worton Road, shortly before 4pm to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
A police spokesman said the driver of the car had stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
He added that the injuries to the motorcyclist, which are understood to be to his leg and back, were not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed following the crash, causing significant delays in the area, and it did not reopen until around 6.40pm.
