A 16-year-old moped rider was arrested near Ruislip on Friday evening (September 23) after he was found to be in possession of a folding knife and Class A drugs.
South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhoods Team stopped the male at around 8.45pm in Field End Road after he was spotted using his mobile phone while riding.
Acting Sergeant James Burgess, who leads the South Ruislip team, said: “We regularly receive complaints from our residents about motorists using mobile phones, and will always take action against it.
“On this occasion a dangerous weapon and a quantity of drugs has also been taken off the streets.
“We work hard to keep the area safe and will continue to do our best to remove these dangerous items from our streets."
The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife, and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
He was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
