Generous donations from shoppers in Feltham will help towards research and treatment for children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

A four-day fundraising drive was held at the Tesco store on the High Street, and raised over £1,200 for the children’s charity.

Shaking big buckets and sporting charity vests staff from the supermarket were joined by volunteers from the Feltham rotary club and children from the local area.

The event took place between Thursday (January 21) and Sunday (January 24) across all London Tesco stores in aid of raising as much money as possible for the hospital.

A total of 500 Tesco Superstore, Express and Metro stores across London took part in the fundraising drive.

Millie Johnston, Tesco London communications manager, said, “Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is a charity that everyone in London can relate to. It really resonates with our customers.”

Amit Aggarwal, from GOSH added: “With the incredible support of their colleagues and customers, we hope this will be another fantastic boost to the Give to GOSH appeal.”
