A replica model of a super bike has been stolen from a bar at Marylebone train station.

Thieves struck in the early hours of Tuesday (September 6), when they smashed a window of the bar before making off with the loot.

British Transport Police (BTP) say four individuals were seen riding up to the entrance of Sports Bar and Grill on two motorcycles before using sledgehammers to break into the venue.

Wearing crash helmets, two members of the group then entered the property and stole the replica motorcycle before making off. However, police are unsure how they removed the model, which has no engine.

Investigating officer Detective Constable David Bishop said: “This is a very distinctive looking bike so I am certain that someone will recognise it.

“I would encourage anyone who has any information to contact BTP so we can track the persons responsible. Whilst this bike is a replica, the owners miss it dearly and would be grateful if it can be returned to them.”

Anyone with any information can text BTP on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 167 of 08/09/2016. Information can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
