Police are investigating claims of criminal damage at the Conservative offices in Ealing .

Posters reading "strong and stable my arse" appeared outside the Broughton Road office on Monday morning (May 29).

An EU flag appeared to be taped to the letter box, with campaign material for Ealing Central and Acton Tory candidate Joy Morrissey detached and left outside.

Officers said a wall had been damaged and hoarding had been removed.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police from Ealing are investigating an allegation of criminal damage.

"Police were called at approximately 10.45am on Monday, 29 May to Broughton Road, W13 following reports that a wall had been damaged and a hoarding removed from an office building.

"The damage is believed to have occurred some time overnight.

"Enquiries continue."
