A young man was rushed to hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds on a residential street in Stanmore.

The 19-year-old male was knifed in the chest and the back at around 9.30pm on Saturday (August 12).

At this stage, police believe the man was attacked by four other males.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing at the corner of Westebere Drive and Morecambe Gardens.

The victim was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries, police said.

Metropolitan Police officers from Harrow along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The suspects fled the scene before paramedics and police arrived.

A crime scene was in place until around 4am on Sunday (August 13).

Officers from Harrow CID are investigating and urge anyone who saw anything to call police via 101.

They said it appears to be an isolated incident.
