Hundreds of people crossed the finishing line at the Osterley Park 10k run which raised money for the memorial fund set up in memory of murdered teenager Alice Gross.

Following a warm up with the crowd, Alice's mum Ros Hodgkiss and MP for Brentford and Isleworth Ruth Cadbury, were among the stampede of runners on the grounds of the National Park Trust, on Saturday June 20.

It was smiles all round as the weather held up, with a gentle breeze, and the rain stayed away.

The two-and-a-half lap course around the stunning grounds surrounding the lakes, also included a loop of the private gardens, and started and finished by the stunning Osterley House.

All runners were given a medal on completion.

Alice's Youth Music Memorial Fund was the official charity for the race which raises money to help disadvantaged youngsters through music.

It was set up in tribute to the 14-year-old from Hanwell who was a talented musician, gone too soon.

The race also helped get many runners into shape for the Ealing Half Marathon in September.
