Staines Road crash closes A315 in both directions - live updates

The road is closed past the Esso garage

The A315 Staines Road in Hounslow is closed in both directions following a crash.

There are reports of queuing traffic to A244 Hounslow Road / Hounslow Gardens.

The crash happened between Martindale Road and A3063 Wellington Road South, on Thursday morning (March 8) shortly after rush hour.

A photo from the scene appears to show a bus involved.

Bus routes 116, 117, 235, 237 and 426 are affected and being diverted.

Following the earlier collision involving a female pedestrian and a bus, Staines Road has been re-opened.

Traffic is easing in the area.

The accident has been cleared between Martindale Road and Wellington Road South.

Bus routes are now CLEAR

A woman, aged in her early 60s, has been taken to hospital

Metropolitan Police confirmed it was called to reports of a bus in collision with a pedestrian, just before 9am this morning.

A spokesman for the force said:

“The injured pedestrian is a woman, aged in her early 60s.

“London Ambulance Service attended the scene and took her to hospital.

“Her injuries were deemed not life threatening or life changing.”
