The popular St George's Day parade is set to return to Whitton this month after a year's absence.
The annual festival, which didn't go ahead last year due to a shortage of volunteers, is due to take place on Saturday April 23.
The highlight of the celebrations will be the traditional procession through the town centre, starting at midday.
That will be followed by entertainment throughout the day, including children's rides and games, live music and a tug-of-war. There will also be market stalls, street food and a beer tent.
This year's parade will be led by members of the Royal Military School of Music, who are based at Kneller Hall, which is threatened with closure .
'Putting the spirit back in the community'
The event is organised by Whitton Business Association, with sponsorship from Richmond Council, the Rugby Football Union and local businesses.
Vicky Young, landlady of the Admiral Nelson pub, which is running the tug-of-war competition, said everybody was thrilled by the festival's return.
"Whitton has a very strong community and we want to put the spirit back into the community. This is a hugely popular event and we're delighted it's back," she said.
The High Street will be closed to traffic from 8.30am to 6.30pm on the day of the festival.
Hundreds of people enjoyed the 2014 St George's Day celebrations in Whitton, as getwestlondon reported at the time.
