Youngsters learned the tricks of the trade from three masters of their sports during a freestyling workshop.

Colin Nell, Matti Hemmings and Andrew Wilding visited Suffah Primary School in Hounslow to show off their incredible stunts in football, BMX and basketball.

They also showed pupils at the Muslim school, at Hounslow Mosque, in Wellington Road South, how to perfect a few basic techniques for themselves.

Colin Nell, who was born in Feltham, has wowed crowds of up to 80,000 with his ball juggling skills, which have seen him work with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Matti Hemmings is a UK Professional BMXer Champion and Guinness World Record holder, better known to many children as Matti Axel from the Nickelodeon show Get Your Skills On.

Andrew Wilding is the king of the hoops when it comes to skills on and off court, having showcased his bouncing bravura in numerous adverts and for the NBA PlayStation and Xbox games.

The tricksy trio combined to lead an all-day workshop at Suffah Primary School, including an obstacle course, before signing autographs.

Teacher Asma Salim, who organised the event, said: "About 40 children brought in their bikes to try to emulate Matti's stunts and many more had a go at the football and basketball tricks.

"The freestylers were very impressed with the children's ability and the pupils were still buzzing the next day.

"As well as teaching them some new skills, the workshop was about inspiring pupils to try to be the best in everything they do, and it was a great success."
