A charity is offering up to £10,000 for information that leads to the conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder of Khalid Abdi Farah .

The 26-year-old was shot dead at point blank range as he sat in a car in Southall early on Saturday (November 11) morning .

He died a short while later in at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, and a murder investigation has been launched .

Now, the Crimestoppers charity is offering the big money reward to people who provide it with information that leads to the successful prosecution of the individual or people responsible for the murder of the Greenford man.

Mr Farah was sitting in the driver’s seat of his hire car outside a parade of shops on Lady Margaret Road when a black VW Tiguan car parked beside him at approximately 1.20am.

The gunman approached and fired shots at Mr Farah through the open passenger window.

A passenger in the car with the victim managed to escape unhurt.

Mr Farah was taken to hospital but died at 3.20am.

Roger Critchell, director of operations at the Crimestoppers charity, said: “This tragic and brutal murder has left a family heartbroken and desperate for answers.

“There is no reason or motivation that we know about for his killing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us 100% anonymously.

“We won’t judge you, ask any of your personal details, and you’ll never have to speak to police. Together, with your help, we can ensure Khalid’s family receives the answers they deserve - so please, speak to us.”

Information passed directly to police will not qualify.

The reward will only qualify if information is passed to Crimestoppers’ 0800 555 111 number or via the non-traceable anonymous online form at its website .

Police say no arrests have been made.
