Met Police has confirmed no arrests have been made one day after a teenager was stabbed in broad daylight in Southall on Friday (June 16).

Southall Broadway was closed off by police at around 12.20pm after a male teenager was attacked.

According to one witness at the scene, the man was stabbed and when he turned around his neck was reportedly slashed.

A spokesman for the police said the victim's injuries to his eyes and neck are not thought to be life-threatening.

London Air Ambulance and London Ambulance also attended and took the man to a west London hospital for treatment.

One person who passed by the Broadway after the incident, who does not wish to be named, said he had heard reports of a stabbing.

He said: “I saw a lot of police cars. They’ve closed part of the Broadway.

“People are walking through but vehicles are not going through. There’s a lot of traffic.

“I was told the casualty was taken to hospital.”

A spokesman for Met Police said at the time of the attack: "Police were called Southall Broadway, Ealing, at approximately 12.20pm on June 16 to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the scene.

"A male, aged in his late teens, was taken to a west London hospital.

“Southall Broadway is currently closed in both directions while the scene is dealt with.”
