Shoppers braved the cold and drizzle to be among the first to step into the new Cotswold Outdoor store in Chiswick.
Queues of customers waited for the store opening on Friday November 13, eager to pick up some outdoor clothing and equipment just in time for their winter adventures.
The business offered its first 100 customers who spent £50 or more at the store on Chiswick High Road a goody bag filled with treats worth £100.
Peter Schooling, commercial director for the Duke of Edinburgh award joined Mike Stevens, retail director at Cotswold Outdoor, for the cutting of a climbing rope to mark the official opening.
Store manager, Mairead McGuirk, said: “It was great to welcome so many customers to our new store, the store was buzzing from the moment we opened the doors.
“We are delighted to have opened the company’s 73rd store here in Chiswick, just in time for the new season”.
The store ranges brands such as The North Face, Rab, Berghaus, Mountain Equipment and Jack Wolfskin.
The team of staff are also trained to provide free boot and rucksack fitting for customers to benefit from.
