Hundreds of pounds worth of toys were delivered to children following a fundraising event at the Tesco superstore in Feltham.
Shoppers generous donations raised £405 over the two-day event at the Dukes Green store on December 11 and 12, bringing Christmas early to young people with life-limiting conditions at Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice.
Managers dressed up as Santa and an elf to deliver a variety of toys hand-picked by staff from the supermarket ranging from soft toys to cars to suit everyone from babies and children to young people.
The sacks were delivered to the charity’s head office in Bridge House, Surrey on Friday (Dec 18).
Lucie Bastin, Fresh food trading manager at Tesco said: “Thank you to all the generous donations from customers over that weekend.”
