Police have taped off an area on a busy main road in Shepherd's Bush to deal with an 'incident'.

The cordon has been in place since around 7.40pm on Friday (December 8).

The A219 Shepherd's Bush Green is closed northbound closed whilst emergency services are on the scene.

Police are believed to have taped off the road at the junction near Barclays Bank.

Traffic is queuing traffic between the A4020 Uxbridge Road and Bulwer Street.

There is also congestion on the A4020 Uxbridge Road to Wormholt Road, on A402 Goldhawk Road to Coningham Road and on A219 Shepherd's Bush Road to Poplar Crescent.

A 16-year-old has been stabbed

Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called at around 7.05pm on Friday December 8 to a teenager stabbed in Shepherd’s Bush Green.

A spokesman for the force said:

“The 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital suffering stab injuries.


“We await an update as to his condition, which, at this early stage, is not thought to be life-threatening.


“Detectives from Hammersmith and Fulham CID are investigating.


“There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.”
