A family were taken to hospital for check-ups after a property in Osterley was damaged by fire.

Two adults and five children were able to flee the house in Bassett Gardens shortly after 5pm on Saturday (November 19).

They were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews for precautionary checks.

Fire crews were called at 5.08pm. Four fire engines and 21 firefighters attended the scene and had the fire under control by 8.25pm.

Part of the ground floor of the property was damaged by flames.

Fire crews from Heston, Feltham and Southall fire stations attended the scene.
