A mammoth regeneration project to help rebuild the headquarters of a scout hut in Feltham is in need of YOUR help.

The worn home of the 7th Feltham sea scouts on Ludlow Road is in desperate need of rejuvenation with its old 1950s building in tatters.

A Crowdfunding page has been launched to raise £450,000, with at least £20,000 needed so work can begin as soon as possible, starting with the design and planning phase of the project.

7th Feltham sea scouts regeneration project for scout hut

The HQ Regneration Project aims to create a modernised facility for the future of scouting, offer fun and adventure for the younger generation and a new centre to benefit the local community.

On May 13, as part of its fundraising efforts, beaver scouts, cub scouts and scouts conquered Row the Thames, a 320km (215 mile) sponsored row in eight hours to drum up money for the project.

In addition, crowds went wild at The Centre in Feltham where scout members and the public raced for the fastest time to row 500 metres.

Row the Thames challenge

For the past 80 years the group has been working with young people from Feltham and surrounding areas injecting adventure into the lives of children and young adults.

It also provides fun and challenging activities on the water and exploring the outdoors while boosting young people's confidence.
