A scooter rider has been taken to hospital after hitting a lamppost near Chelsea Bridge in the early hours of Sunday morning (November 5).

Police were called to the A3212 Grosvenor Road at around 1.15am and found a scooter had hit a lamppost.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police told getwestlondon : "Part of the road was closed due to damage to the lamppost.

"The rider was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition"

According to Transport for London , the road has now reopened, posting to Twitter on Sunday morning they said: "A3212 Grosvenor Rd has reopened E/B at Chelsea Bridge following a police investigation."
