Now there is a new alternative tube map , showing how long it would take to scoot.
The Piccadilly line was responsible for 47,800 hours of delays in just ten months last year, giving many west Londoners nightmares to this day.
If you're looking for a backup to the tube or a more active way of getting to work every day perhaps scooting is for you.
According to the map, created by Micro Scooters, it would take a Hammersmith resident 41 minutes to travel to Victoria, a journey which takes around 15 minutes on the tube.
That may sound a lot slower but doesn't include all the glacial shuffling along tube station corridors and up stairs that you can avoid with a scooter.
If you opt to scoot to work you can enjoy breathing the fresh London air as you burn 150 calories in half an hour.
They've also come up with an online scooting time calculator to show how long any journey would take.
