A Ruislip family are devastated after their family pet was shot in the face.
Stephen Davies, of Campbell Close, was shocked to find the family's beloved cat with a severe facial injury.
Eddie is now receiving extensive treatment from the vet in order to save his life.
Speaking to getwestlondon, Mr Davies said: “At first we thought he'd been kicked in the face. But actually he was shot with a pellet gun - [the pellet] went straight through his nose and into his spine.
“I'm very angry and ashamed that the human race could do something like this.
"My wife is devastated. Our other pets are upset too and keep looking for him.”
The incident was reported to the police on Monday (June 1), after Eddie was found injured.
Vets have estimated the cost of his treatment will hit around £4,000, after a CT scan, drip, and two overnight stays.
Mr Davies added: “He's a family member who is loved.
"We just want to make people aware that some idiot is going around hurting animals.”
