Police investigating the murder of Romario Green have charged a man who was extradited from Spain.

Denny De Silva, 23, was charged with murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a prohibited weapon, according to the Met Police.

Romario Green was shot in Sudbury Town and died at the scene shortly on Thursday July 2.

A European Arrest Warrant was issued for De Silva. He was arrested in Spain on August 10 and, on his return to the UK on August 21, was arrested by officers from the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command.

He will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday (August 22).
