Sometimes the festive spirit just won't end, especially when a rogue Christmas tree stages a protest on a busy road at rush hour.

Morning motorists travelling on the A406 through Neasden were forced to dodge the branch on Thursday (January 7) when part of a Christmas tree blocked the North Circular.

Transport for London advised drivers of reports of a Christmas tree on the road at the junction of Randall Avenue, at 5.21am.

A Transport for London spokesman told getwestlondon that the tree was cleared off the road by 6am.

Many believed that the 'tree' which appears to be just a small branch, was the cause of traffic delays, however the TfL spokesperson said that it was a typical busy rush hour morning on the North Circular.

Rush hour drivers took to social media to express their annoyance at the Christmas tree which they blamed as the cause of them arriving at work late.
