Motorists are being warned of emergency water works under way on a stretch of road in Hayes .
Works are taking place on Botwell Lane, Hayes, which will be closed over three days in the run-up to Christmas.
It will be closed at the junction between Wood End Green Road and Barra Hall Circus.
The repairs by Affinity Water started on Tuesday (December 20) around 4pm and are due to last until Friday (December 23).
Diversions have been put in place for road users via Wood End Green Road, Tudor Road, Judge Heath Lane and vice versa, while the works are carried out.
Hillingdon Council said: "Due to emergency water works Botwell Lane, Hayes is now closed for three days. Diversion is in place."
Last month, a road in Hayes was evacuated following a gas leak .
Station Road remained closed for four days whilst repair work was carried out on a damaged gas main.
