West London's most used train station had over 230,000 passengers a day in 2015.

Victoria station saw 85,337,996 passengers in 2014 to 2015, the second most used train station in Britain, with Waterloo claiming the top spot at almost 100 million.

The station in Westminster saw a 5% increase in passenger numbers compared to last year.

Figures released by the Office of Rail and Road revealed how many passenger journeys each station in the country had throughout the 2014-15 financial year.

Charing Cross was the second busiest station in west London, seeing an average of 117,750 passengers per day, with Paddington at just under 100,000.

Unsurprisingly, the top four busiest stations in west London are in Westminster , with Kensington Olympia claiming the fifth spot.

The least used station in west London was Sudbury and Harrow Road, which saw only 19,124 passengers journeys between 2014 and 2015, at an average of 52 passengers a day.

Harrow-on-the-Hill saw the biggest increase in passenger numbers compared to last year, with a 38% increase, while Kensal Green saw a decline in numbers at -5%.

In total, station usage increased by 4% in Britain in 2014-15 with 2.78 billion entries and exits recorded throughout the year.
