Three Metropolitan Police officers accused of attacking a reveller who was walking home from a night out in Hounslow will face a retrial.
An Old Bailey jury failed to reach a verdict on Friday (January 30), after nine hours of deliberations in the trial of Sergeant Jason Moody, from Walton, Surrey; PC Ed Griffiths, from Farnborough, Hampshire; and PC Carl Hollman, from Guildford, Surrey.
The officers allegedly assaulted Joseph Kamano in Hounslow High Street on November 23 2013.
Mr Griffiths, 39, Mr Moody, 40, and Mr Hollman, 31, all deny assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Mr Moody and Mr Hollman have also pleaded not guilty to a charge of perverting the course of justice, related to entries in their notebooks concerning the incident.
Judge Paul Worsley QC discharged the jurors when they could not reach verdicts.
