People in Hounslow are invited to a public meeting to discuss the amended plans for Nishkam School West London.

There will be a Q&A session for residents to raise any issues regarding changes to the proposals, mainly concerning traffic and parking in the area, for the 1,400-pupil school to be built on the old Conquest Club site, in Syon Lane, Osterley.

During the public exhibition people will also be able to quiz and meet members of the Nishkam School Trust's team.

The meeting will be held at Osterley Park Hotel, 764 Great West Road, Isleworth, TW7 5NA, on Tuesday (September 8), from 4pm to 8pm.

Brin Mahon, chair of governors at Nishkam School West London, said: "Through our newsletter to local residents and our website we want to ensure that the local community receive as much information as possible about our proposals for a new home for Nishkam School West London.

"Having said this, we want to ensure everyone has opportunity to ask questions face to face, now residents have had the opportunity to review the submissions.

"With our track record of two Ofsted 'outstanding' sister Nishkam Schools, we aim to meet local ambitions for a new local school of the highest standard and provide the school places Hounslow desperately needs."

Niskham have delivered newsletters to more than 4,000 households in the area around the proposed new site for the school.

Concerns about the plans have been raised by campaign group Keep Osterley Green (KOG) who presented a 1,000-strong petition to local MP Ruth Cadbury opposing the proposals.
