A pub in Mayfair raised around £1,000 for charity through a special night to commemorate 150 years of Savile Row bespoke tailors’ custom.

The Masons Arms, built in the 18th century, has long welcomed guests from Savile Row’s extensive array of skilled tailors and the celebratory evening marked the association.

The Greene King pub in Maddox Street shared the funds raised between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Bespoke Tailors’ Benevolent Association after local businesses donated raffle prizes.

Pub manager Kieron Murphy, said: “We enjoyed an incredible night which has raised a fantastic sum of money for the charities.

“The 150th anniversary is a huge number to celebrate and this pub has a long tradition of serving the bespoke tailors of Savile Row cask ale and hearty pub food with a warm welcome.

“The recent evening was an opportunity for everyone to share some memories and we look forward to our special relationship continuing for many years to come.”
