Police investigating the murder of a man in West Kensington have made a third arrest.

Julian Aubrey was found with fatal stab wounds in his own home in Warwick Road on Monday (October 30) afternoon.

A 42-year-old has now become the third person arrested on suspicion of murder by investigating officers.

Police were called to the property, in Shaftesbury Place, at 1.45pm to reports of a man with stab injuries.

Paramedics attended with police but pronounced 55-year-old Mr Aubrey dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination on Tuesday (October 31) gave Mr Aubrey’s cause of death as multiple stab wounds. His next of kin have been informed.

Two men, aged 48 and 56, were arrested at the scene and remain in custody at a west London police station.

The 42-year-old was arrested at Longridge Road, in Earl’s Court, on Thursday (November 2) morning, and a police crime scene remains on the road

DCI Luke Marks from the Homicide and Major Crime Command in leading the investigation.

He said: “I am appealing for anyone who was recently in the area of Shaftesbury Place and who may have heard a disturbance coming from one of the flats to contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may know why Julian was targeted in his own home in such a violent way.

“Any piece of information, however small, may prove vital to my investigation.”
