Metropolitan Police are now "gravely concerned" for the welfare of an 83-year-old man who went missing from his care home in Wembley almost two weeks ago.

Leocardo Loney , who also goes by the nicknames of Leo, Trinny and Jersey, was last seen on Thursday (August 3) at around 5.35pm by staff at his care home.

He requires medication for dementia and police say he "may be confused".

Mr Loney is described as black, around 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build, with short grey hair.

When he went missing, the pensioner was wearing a red baseball cap and a black jacket.

Police say he enjoys going to the park and likes to take the bus.

Detective inspector Andy Grant, from Brent CID, said: "It is nearly two weeks since Leocardo went missing and despite extensive enquires we have not been able to trace him.

"His family are desperate for information and we would appeal for anyone who may be able to assist not hesitate, but call police immediately."

Anyone with information at to his whereabouts should call Brent’s Missing Persons Unit on 101 or Missing People on 116000.
