Officers in Brent have released a CCTV image of a woman who went missing shortly after giving birth at Northwick Park Hospital .

Anna Chudy, 35, is believed to have left the hospital, in the company of a man, leaving her newborn child behind at around 10.30am on Friday October 16, Met Police said.

She was admitted to the hospital on Watford Road, Harrow , at around 10.30pm on Wednesday October 14, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy via caesarean section at 3.40am on Thursday October 15.

Anna is described as white, possibly Eastern European with pale skin of medium build, 5ft 4ins in height with bleached blonde fine hair in a pony tail.

Officers are concerned for her welfare and are appealing for help to find her to ensure she is safe and well.

A CCTV image of the man has also been released.

Police are appealing to trace a man who was with a woman who gave birth and left her child at Northwick Park Hospital

Both were seen exiting the A&E department separately.

The man has been described as white, with short dark brown hair, and tall with an athletic build.

He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket with patches on the elbow and dark trousers.

Detective Sergeant Adrian Smith from Brent CID said: "This is a vulnerable woman who needs to be located as soon as possible so she can be reunited with her baby boy.

"We are not looking to trace her with the intention of pursuing any criminal matters against her, our only concern is her safe return.

"It is of paramount importance that anyone who has any information about her whereabouts contacts us immediately."
