Police were called out to the discovery of a suspected World War Two bomb on Thursday (July 20) in Victoria.

The force attended the scene in Greycoat Place at 3.52pm after workmen renovating in the area reported suspicious items.

A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers attended and a cordon was put in place to allow the items to be assessed.

"Enquiries established the items were not suspicious."

The police left the scene at 4.25pm.
